Anthropic scales Claude Mythos to critical infrastructure in 15+ countries

Anthropic just announced a major expansion of Project Glasswing, bringing Claude Mythos to 150 organizations across more than 15 countries. This isn't about helping startups write better code. It's about protecting the infrastructure that keeps societies running.

The focus is squarely on critical systems: power grids, water treatment facilities, healthcare networks, and communications infrastructure. These are the targets where a successful cyberattack could directly affect 100 million people or more.

Project Glasswing is Anthropic's security vulnerability program, and Mythos is the AI model designed to help find and fix those vulnerabilities before bad actors exploit them. By expanding access to organizations managing critical infrastructure, Anthropic is positioning Claude as a defensive tool in high-stakes cybersecurity.

This matters because AI is increasingly being used on both sides of the security equation.
