New dummy units give our closest look yet at the iPhone Fold

Apple's long-rumored foldable iPhone just got a lot more real. Leaked dummy units shared by Sonny Dickson give us the clearest view yet of what appears to be Apple's first folding phone, expected to launch later this year.

The device features an approximately 7.8-inch screen when unfolded, putting it in iPad mini territory for screen real estate. That's substantial display space for a phone, and it positions Apple squarely against Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold lineup.

The dummy mockups show the front-facing camera tucked into the top-left corner of the inner screen. It's a design choice that suggests Apple is sticking with a visible camera rather than going with under-display tech.

What Apple will actually call this thing remains up in the air. iPhone Fold seems obvious, iPhone Ultra has been floated, but we won't know until the official announcement.

For professionals who've been eyeing foldables but waiting for Apple to enter the space, this could be the watershed moment. A foldable iPhone means better app support, tighter ecosystem integration, and the polish Apple typically brings to new form factors. If you've been doing serious work on an iPad mini or juggling multiple devices, a folding iPhone could consolidate your setup in a meaningful way.
